Hi I am searching for any information on an ancestor of mine Robert Hanslip who lived on Tonga in the late 1800s for 36 years.
He arrived as a trader then became assistant to the British Consul and official interpreter.
He published a newspaper Niu Vakai c.1882-1883 – a paper in Tongan edited by Robert H. Hanslip in opposition to Rev. Shirley Waldemar Baker on behalf of the people.
Would anyone know of him or could point me in the right direction to obtain more information. I am tracing my family tree and would most welcome any assistance anyone could give – Thank you
    Mr T Hanslip
